Visual Assessment and Non-destructive Testing

DYWIDAG rope access technicians have many years of training and experience working under extreme conditions.

Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a testing and analysis technique used by industry to evaluate the properties of a workpiece, component, structure or system for characteristic deviations, weld defects and incompleteness without damaging the original part.

Destructive testing techniques such as tensile, compression, notched bar impact or hardness testing are essential to determine relevant material characteristics for component design and safety analysis. Important characteristic values that we record according to customer specifications include hardness, stiffness or strength.
