DYWIDAG New CEO: Hugh Pelham

Luxembourg, 8th April 2022 – On behalf of the DYWIDAG board of directors we would like to announce that Matti Kuivalainen has decided to step down from his position as CEO of the Company to pursue other opportunities effective April 11, 2022.

The Board of the DYWIDAG Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Hugh Pelham as Chief Executive Officer of DYWIDAG effective 11th April 2022.

“We wish to thank Matti for his contribution to strengthen DYWIDAG after joining in 2017 and for playing an important role in the positioning of DYWIDAG as one of the leaders within making Infrastructure projects safer, stronger, and smarter.”

We are also delighted that Hugh Pelham is joining as our new CEO of DYWIDAG. Hugh´s track record and experience make him the ideal candidate to lead DYWIDAG in the next phase. 

Hugh Pelham is a seasoned CEO with extensive national and international experience in the engineering and construction sectors working for both privately owned and publicly quoted companies. “He has been involved in creating significant value, particularly in his leadership roles at Orica where he was responsible for a $500m manufacturing business and prior to that in the development and sale of an industrial services business to Wood Group plc which grew from 600 to 2,400 employees in his tenure.” said Matthew Turner, Chairman of the DYWIDAG Advisory Board.
