Founded in 1865 by Eugen Dyckerhoff and Gottlieb Widmann, DYWIDAG began as a small German workshop and quickly became a pioneer in construction. - 1865How it all beganIn 1865, son and father-in-law Eugen Dyckerhoff and Gottlieb Widmann began working together. 
- 1880Our bridge-building legacyIn the 1880s, their factory developed into a construction company, which specialized in bridge building. 
- 1903Our technology and expertiseIn 1903, after a period of growth and R&D, they reinforced a concrete railway bridge with steel technology that would become the DYWIDAG Threadbar™ 
- 1970Geotechnics on a global scaleIn the 1970s, DYWIDAG expanded into geotechnics to strengthen urban foundations—supporting rapid population growth.
