Durable and reliable, DYWIDAG bonded post-tensioning systems use strands or DYWIDAG Threadbars™ in new construction—and strengthen or repair infrastructure.

The systems provide transversal post-tensioning, the longitudinal stressing of bridge girders, the transversal stressing of bridge decks and can be used in concrete floor slabs within multi-storey buildings.

Strand systems

DYWIDAG bonded post-tensioning strand systems are used in the post-tensioning of concrete bridges, slab decks, and confinement structures—like LNG tanks.

Bar systems

DYWIDAG bonded post-tensioning bar systems strengthen existing concrete structures, connect precast members, and create the fixation or tieback anchorages of steel structures.

Bar type WR for tendons longer than about 2.5 m provides a continuous coarse thread over the full length and are available for all bar diameters. The low-slip anchorage with nuts already allows for low losses of prestressing force. However, bars shorter than about 2.5 m demand bar type WS with smooth surface and machined fine thread on both ends for minimum slip after lock-off.
