Bonded Post-tensioning System Using Strand

A versatile solution for reinforcing and enhancing the strength and performance of structures.

DYWIDAG’s bonded post-tensioning system using strand tendons is a high-performance solution for reinforcing and enhancing the load-carrying capacity of concrete structures. The system is designed to create a strong, durable, and long-lasting bond between the strand tendon and the surrounding concrete, which enhances the structural integrity of the system. It can be customized to meet the specific needs of each project is suitable for a wide range of applications, including bridges, buildings, tanks, and silos.

The strand tendons used in the system are made from high-strength steel, which provides exceptional load-carrying capacity and resistance to corrosion. The tendons are coated with a specially formulated grout that helps to create a strong bond between the tendon and the concrete, ensuring long-term durability and reliability and providing additional corrosion protection.

DYWIDAG’s bonded post-tensioning system using strand tendons is designed to be easy to install and requires minimal preparation. Strand tendons with up to 55 strands can be installed in virtually any geometry. Plate anchorages and multiplane anchorages are available for anchoring. Furthermore, bond anchors are also possible with anchors cast-in concrete.

At construction joints, non-continuous tendons can be stressed by means of couplers in the already concreted construction section and then strands can be fixed for the subsequent construction section.

Besides sheet metal ducts, DYWIDAG offers plastic ducts as well.
