DYWIDAG GFRP Rock Bolt
Cuttable rock bolt for use in mining ground support.
- Ground Support
Manufactured from high strength Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers (GFRP), the DYWIDAG GFRP rock bolt features a retaining sleeve designed to fit through the boom centraliser. Offering fast installation and immediate load bearing capacity, the design reduces bending on installation, offers improved confinement resistance, and higher yield capacity for consistent anchoring in challenging rock conditions. DYWIDAG GFRP rock is ideal for support in areas where the installation is for temporary support.
GFRP Rock Bolts are used as an alternative to conventional steel ground control elements. Thanks to their excellent corrosion resistance these bolts are non-conductive, lightweight, easy to install, durable, are dimensionally stable under thermal loading, have an anti-static rating, and can also be cut without creating sparks.
- Available in Fire Resistant Anti-Static (FRAS) and Non FRAS options, tailored for underground mining operations.
- High ultimate tensile strength.
- Available in 1m, 1.5m or 2.4m length.
- Non metallic, benefits for down stream mining processes.
- Safe for use around electrical installations.
- Light weight, improved manual handling and supporting an easy application in challenging conditions.
- Suitable for mechanised cutting or blasting.
- Tough, durable, and safe to cut using mechanical excavators or shearers to minimize impact on subsequent works.
- Enhanced corrosion resistance for improved longevity when compared to steel.
